One thing that now gives me cause to propel myself through the week is the arrival of Ronnie each Friday. Initially I had not planned to bring her home this weekend, because of the abundance of XC obligations, but, as I figured would happen, Gail has taken a liking to the puppy and is volunteering to take care of her. This means that Ronnie will not necessarily get training this weekend, but it's still good for her to be out of the prison and to have an opportunity to socialize with Lilly and Maisy.
The boys have their semi-final tonight for soccer. It's in Chicopee against Chicopee. Their game is at 5, but they're staying to watch the other semi-final which is being played afterwards between Longmeadow and Minnechaug. The winners of each game will play each other. If I didn't have this paper due in Euro tomorrow, I would definitely have gathered a few friends together and driven down to Chicopee. If (cross your fingers) they win the game tonight, their next game will be on Saturday.
Charlie's birthday is tomorrow. Jazz workshop is playing at the Black Sheep, but I'm torn between staying in Amherst and crossing the bridge to see the play on Darfur at Smith.
Matteo and the posse will all be coming home next week- or possibly the week after.
I'm still trying to decide what I'm interested in doing this summer. I had wanted to do the teaching program with Global Routes in India, but it's not offered there this summer. I'm happy to do a program involving French (or possibly Hebrew), but as I've stuck to unconventional summer adventures for the past few years, I'd like to remain on this trend.
